The Frontier Regional FASD Training Center will be offering a free webinar presented by Tracy Jirikowic and Joy Doll  titled “Young children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders: Evidence based approaches for complex children from the occupational therapy perspective” on October 30, 2013 (click the event link below to find the presentation time in your area).

Recognizing the importance of early intervention for children prenatally exposed to alcohol, presenters will discuss screening and diagnosis for young children with prenatal alcohol exposure along with family centered intervention practices to support children and caregivers. Information will be presented relative to the practice of occupational therapy.

Breaking Barriers Symposium 2013
As part of a symposium on ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Other Learning-Based Life Barriers, Julia Conkel-Ziebell will present “Change the Environment, Not the Child: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Interventions for School Success”

6th Annual FASD Fall Conference: Understanding Trauma
The Asante Centre FASD Collaboration Roundtable brings together a day of presentations related to FASD and trauma and implications for trauma informed practice. A few intervention focused talks (among many more interesting presentations):

“Finding Parent/Caregiver Well-Being Amidst Stress and Worry”
“Panel Presentation: Voices of Hope”
